Description

This simple and delicious baked salmon recipe yields perfectly moist and flaky salmon fillets coated with a flavorful garlic butter sauce and fresh herbs, making it an ideal healthy meal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped dill
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brush the salmon. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow the salmon to come to room temperature for 15 minutes. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and lemon juice. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and brush the butter-lemon mixture evenly over each fillet.
  2. Bake the salmon. Sprinkle the minced garlic, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper evenly over the salmon fillets. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  3. Garnish and serve. Remove the salmon from the oven and sprinkle the finely chopped parsley and dill on top of the fillets. Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Letting the salmon come to room temperature before baking helps it cook evenly.
  • You can substitute fresh dill and parsley with dried herbs if fresh are unavailable, using half the quantity.
  • Make sure not to overcook the salmon; it should be moist and flaky, not dry.
  • Use a non-stick baking dish or line with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  • Feel free to add a pinch of smoked paprika or chili flakes for a subtle kick.
